The Basque country is rich in activities and festivities. Here are some of the main events near the campsite. So get out your diaries!

BAYONNE

Ham Festival: The fair was first held in 1462, and a competition is organised each year to choose the town’s best ham. It is a chance to meet local producers and to taste cooked or uncooked ham in several restaurants in the town.
From Thursday 24 March 2016 to Sunday 27 March 2016.

ESPELETTE

Pepper Festival - 29 and 30 October 2016. These festivities are renowned well beyond the Basque country. The production of pepper is highlighted in a range of different ways. Each year, the Espelette Pepper Fraternity welcomes new members during the festival. All the town celebrates its "red gold" with concerts, Basque pelota games and, of course, the chance to buy Espelette pepper and regional products.
